Description

Trade is a programming language especially designed for the needs of FastTrackers. Trade automates the technical analysis and trading of mutual funds. It uses the Investors FastTrack mutual fund database  and families. Functions provided by the program include ranking, automated trading, analysis and optimization of automated trading strategies, portfolio FNU generation, generation and analysis of signals, and a powerful expression parser and FNU file generation tool.

Installation

1. Download trade301.exe (282,624 bytes, last updated 12/2/2002).
2. Create a directory for the program. \Trade is a good choice. It must be on the same drive as your \FT directory.
3. Trade program files are packaged as a self-extracting Zip archive. Download the package to the \Trade directory.
4. Run the downloaded file to extract the files from the archive. If you are installing over a previous version, it will ask if you want to overwrite existing files. Type the letter 'a' (for All) when it asks "Overwrite (y/n)?", and it will replace all the earlier trade files.
5. Read trade.doc for instructions, and changes.doc for changes in this version.
